Rain and thunderstorms chances (60-80%) will continue this morning until roughly 10 AM to noon. Rain and storms chances then decrease to 10-15% through the afternoon. During the afternoon, rain and storms are expected to be isolated in coverage. Chances for storms increase again (20-40%) as a cold front moves through in the evening roughly 6-10 PM. Scattered to isolated rain/storms are expected along the front. Dry conditions and slightly cooler temperatures are expected Wednesday and Thursday. Winds will be south southwest today across Lake Michigan until roughly 5-7 PM when they are expected to turn and become westerly. Winds will continue to back overnight and be northwesterly. Northwest winds will continue Wednesday morning and will then shift to northeasterly by Wednesday afternoon. Sustained winds and gusts will be light with 5-10 MPH (5-9 kt) with gusts 15-20 MPH (11-15 kt) today and Wednesday. Wave heights will be around 0.5 to 1 ft today through Wednesday. Wave direction will be predominately south to south southeast through this evening. Wave direction will begin to shift to westerly then northwesterly overnight into Wednesday morning.
