.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms expected today,
especially along the Lake Michigan lake breeze boundary. Erratic
wind directions are possible under stronger storms, but storms
are not expected to be severe or gusty. Outside of storms,
easterly winds will continue along Lake Michigan counties and
northwesterly winds elsewhere. Mixing heights around 4500 to 5000
ft.
Friday, expect west-northwest winds through much of the day, with
gusts of 20 to 25 mph. Mixing heights rising to 5000 to 6000 ft
away from Lake Michigan counties, and minimum RH values ranging
from the mid 40s in southeast Wisconsin to the lower 30s in
southwest Wisconsin. A back door cold front will bring a broken
line of thunderstorms from northeast to southwest during the
afternoon hours. A few of these storms may become strong, with
gusty erratic winds and small hail.
Light northerly winds on Saturday, with minimum RH values in the
30s across much of southern Wisconsin. Expect mixing heights of
3000 to 4000 ft. A few isolated thunderstorms possible in
southwest Wisconsin during the afternoon hours.
