.DISCUSSION...
Light rain showers will continue this morning as an upper
disturbance crosses Wisconsin. Best chances for rainfall will be
along and north of I-94/US-18, with new accumulations being
primarily less than a tenth of an inch. Rain will push east this
afternoon, with winds turning northwesterly in advance of
approaching high pressure. Said high pressure will keep conditions
dry through Sunday. The next upper disturbance and surface low
will approach the western Great Lakes Monday through Wednesday,
bringing additional periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Accumulating rainfall will be possible, with current forecast
guidance depicting the highest totals (~0.50-1.00 inch) over
southwest and south-central Wisconsin. Whether/not these totals
materialize will depend on precise system track, with north/south
differences still apparent in model guidance. Will continue to
monitor trends in the coming forecasts. Dry conditions return by
late week, allowing temperatures to climb back toward mid-late
May normals.
