.DISCUSSION...

Gusty south winds will linger into early this evening, with low
relative humidity values of 30 to 35 percent.

A cold front will move southeast toward the area tonight, then
across the area Monday, before shifting southeast Monday night.
The front will bring a weakening area of showers and a few
thunderstorms for areas northwest of Madison later tonight, with a
lull in the activity for a time Monday morning. Another area of
showers and a few storms may develop Monday afternoon into early
evening, as the front moves through.

Winds will weaken on Monday as the front moves through, with
southwest winds shifting northwest to north behind the front.
Minimum relative humidity values should be in the 55 to 65 percent
range, with poor to fair smoke dispersal values. The best values
will be in far southeast Wisconsin in the afternoon.

High pressure will build into the region Tuesday, with light
north to northwest winds and cooler temperatures. Minimum relative
humidity values should drop into the 30 to 35 percent range for
most areas Tuesday afternoon, perhaps a little lower in the sandy
soil areas northwest of Madison. Fair smoke dispersal values are
expected over most of the area.
