...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN LENOIR...GREENE AND
SOUTHWESTERN PITT COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM EDT...

At 645 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over La Grange, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kinston, La Grange, Snow Hill, Dawson, Maury, Ormondsville,
Graingers, Institute, Jason, Lizzie, Kinston Regional Jetport,
Hookerton, Sandy Bottom, Castoria, Shine, Fort Run VFD, Bull Head
VFD, and Walstonburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
