...LOCALIZED TRAVEL IMPACTS DUE TO ICE AND SNOW CONTINUE TONIGHT
INTO SUNDAY MORNING...

Most of the widespread snow pack from Tuesday nights storm has
melted, however there are still large patches of snow that have
not melted yet. With temperatures falling below freezing yet
again tonight, any leftover melted snow will refreeze on some area
roadways overnight. Areas most susceptible will be heavily tree
lined and forested locations where trees have limited sunlight.
With temperatures again expected to drop well below freezing
overnight, localized areas of black ice will be possible
especially on walkways, secondary roads, bridges, overpasses,
parking lots, and driveways.

While travel has significantly improved during the daylight
hours, conditions will deteriorate where the snowpack remains after
sunset today. Temperatures are forecast to warm well into the 50s
on Sunday and this is expected to melt any residual snow.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution. Allow ample distance
between yourself and other vehicles, to avoid the risk of a
collision where slippery conditions are encountered. Allow extra
time to reach your destination safely.
