...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON...
NORTHEASTERN PITT...MARTIN AND NORTHWESTERN BEAUFORT COUNTIES THROUGH
745 PM EDT...

At 719 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Scotland Neck to near Lewiston
Woodville. Movement was south at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Williamston, Robersonville, Gold Point, Jamesville, Hamilton, Oak
City, Smithwick, Parmele, Everetts, Hassell, and Beargrass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
