...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN JONES...
SOUTHWESTERN GREENE...LENOIR...NORTHWESTERN CRAVEN AND NORTHEASTERN
DUPLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM EDT...

At 1112 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Albertson, or 7 miles south of La Grange, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Kinston, La Grange, Kornegay, Deep Run, Pleasant Hill, Institute,
Wyse Fork, Albertson, Kinston Regional Jetport, Pink Hill, Sandy
Bottom, and Hargetts Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
