...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL CRAVEN AND
SOUTHWESTERN CARTERET COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 452 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Newport, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Morehead City, Newport, Pine Knoll Shores, Broad Creek, Wildwood,
North Harlowe, Fort Macon State Park, Oceana Pier, Crab Point
Village, Mitchell Village, and Indian Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
