...GALE WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 AM EDT
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and
  seas 6 to 9 ft expected.

* WHERE...The coastal waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Surf City.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Post-frontal, gale force winds and elevated
  seas will continue through tonight. Winds will lay down below
  gale force for much of Friday and Friday night. This will be
  followed by an increased risk of gale force winds Saturday into
  early next week, along with building seas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
