Waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 60 NM...

At 328 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cape Lookout,
moving east at 50 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 65 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
         winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Harkers Island, Northwest Places, Ar285, Atlas Tanker, 14 Buoy, R-8
Buoy, Cape Lookout Bight, Cape Lookout, The Knuckle Buoy, and Big Ten
Fathom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
