For the following areas...
S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 nm...

At 540 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 nm west of Duck,
or 10 nm south of Currituck Sound, moving northeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
         structural damage.

Locations impacted include...
Kill Devil Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
