Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
318 AM EST Wed Feb 5 2025

.DISCUSSION....
A cold front is now south of the forecast area and a northeasterly
wind is ushering in much cooler air, and higher relative
humidities. This will eventually give way to off and on light rain
this afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Rainfall amounts look
to be on the light side for most areas, but higher along the
coast. Breezy southwesterly winds return on Thursday.
