Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
150 PM EDT Fri Jul 4 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Weak backdoor cold front will stall off the southern coast this
afternoon. Scattered showers and storms are possible along the
sea breeze this afternoon. A weak low is forecast to form along
the aforementioned stalled boundary and could acquire subtropical
or tropical characteristics. Regarless of development, this low
is expected to bring increased PoPs into next week with the
potential for periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.
