Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
218 PM EST Sat Nov 9 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A noticeably drier airmass (RHs in the 30s and 40s percent) is
overhead ENC today, and will overlap with breezy
northeast winds (10-15 mph, gusts to 20+ mph). This should
support elevated fire conditions, especially where fuels are the
most receptive. Humidities quickly recover by Sunday as southerly
flow returns ahead of the next front to cross the area Monday, which
will be our next best chance of rain.
