Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
223 AM EDT Wed Sep 17 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Fire weather concerns are expected to remain LOW over the next
couple of days.

The mild conditions of late will gradually transition to warmer
temperatures by Thursday and Friday, with highs getting back above
normal. The warming temperatures will be accompanied by light
winds. Therefore, despite falling relative humidities, the lack of
stronger winds should keep fire concerns at a minimum.
