Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
119 PM EDT Wed Oct 15 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Breezy northerly winds with cool and dry conditions through
the end of the work week as high pressure builds in from
the west. A cold front moves through late this weekend into
Monday, which brings around a 40% chance of rain. Minimum
relative humidities in the low to mid 30% range inland
Thursday and Friday, with Thursday bring the windiest of the
two days. Recent rainfall precludes any fire weather concerns
Thursday and Friday.
