Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
351 PM EDT Thu Apr 3 2025

.DISCUSSION....
High pressure will remain centered off the coast through the weekend
bringing temps well above normal along with higher
relative humidity. While well above normal to near record warmth will
continue to help accelerate greenup, it will also continue to further
the drought due to a continued lack of appreciable rainfall. The next
chance of wetting precipitation looks to come late this weekend or early
next week.
