Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
234 PM EDT Thu Jul 30 2026

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure builds overhead and pushes offshore on Fri/Sat.
This will keep a seasonable and drier airmass with light winds
over the area. Increasing precip chances Sunday into next week
is forecast as a front stalls off to the west for several days
before dissipating.
