Northeastern Dare County in eastern North Carolina...
* Until 245 AM EDT.
* At 1138 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Kill Devil Hills, Southern Shores, Nags Head, Manteo, Colington,
Whalebone, Sanderling, Jockeys Ridge State Park, Nags Head Fishing
Pier, Wright Brothers National Monument, Roanoke Island Festival
Park, Avalon Pier, Outer Banks Fishing Pier, Wanchese, Bodie Island
Lighthouse and Duck Coe Pier.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
