.Synopsis for Eastern North Carolina coastal waters...
Hurricane Erin continues to lift toward the N/NE away from the NC
coast tonight, but significant coastal impacts in the form of
very dangerous seas, life threatening surf and rip currents, as
well as significant beach erosion and areas of overwash will
continue through tonight and into tomorrow. Hazardous conditions
will continue through the rest of the week but impacts are
expected to peak with tonight`s high tide before gradually
diminishing this weekend.
