High pressure will reside offshore through the weekend as a cold front attempts to dip south into the area. The front will stall around the Albemarle Sound vicinity today, lift back north on Saturday, then shift south completely through the area on Sunday. Northerly flow then lasts into early next week as high pressure builds in from the north.
