EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Warning, 1 to 3 of inundation
  above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and
  tidal waterways. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking
  waves of 5 to 10 feet in the surf zone. For the Beach Hazards
  Statement, dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...West Carteret County.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 8 PM EDT Thursday.
  For the Beach Hazards Statement, through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Up to 1 to 3 feet of inundation above ground level
  is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
  waterways resulting in a low threat of property damage. Some
  roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks,
  lawns, and homes adjacent to the waterfront will experience
  shallow flooding. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions
  with significant beach erosion expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.

The surf will be extremely dangerous for everyone, and swimming
is absolutely discouraged.

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Warning, 2 to 3 feet of
  inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near
  shorelines and tidal waterways. For the Beach Hazards
  Statement, dangerous rip currents in the surf zone. For the
  High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 6 to 12 feet
  expected in the surf zone.

* WHERE...Coastal Onslow County.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 8 PM EDT Thursday.
  For the Beach Hazards Statement, through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property
  including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
  will be inundated. Shoreline erosion will occur. Dangerous
  swimming and surfing conditions with significant beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is expected to be a prolonged
  duration event, with the potential for roads along the
  immediate coast to be impassable at times, especially around
  times of high tide. The area of greatest concern for oceanside
  impacts is North Topsail Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.

The surf will be extremely dangerous for everyone, and swimming
is absolutely discouraged.

* WHAT...For the Beach Hazards Statement, dangerous rip currents
  in the surf zone. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking
  waves of 10 to 18 feet expected in the surf zone north of Cape
  Lookout, and 5 to 8 feet on Shackleford Island. For the Coastal
  Flood Warning, 2 to 4 feet of inundation above ground level
  expected oceanside north of Cape Lookout. Minor to moderate
  inundation of 1 to 3 feet above ground level expected for
  soundside areas adjacent to the southern Pamlico Sound and Core
  Sound.

* WHERE...East Carteret County.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 8 PM EDT Thursday.
  For the High Surf Advisory, until midnight EDT Friday night.
  For the Beach Hazards Statement, through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Moderate to major beach damage is likely along the
  oceanside north of Cape Lookout, resulting in a significant
  threat to life and property. Large dangerous waves will likely
  inundate and destroy protective dune structures. Minor to
  moderate soundside flooding expected for areas adjacent to the
  southern Pamlico Sound.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is expected to be a prolonged
  duration event for the oceanside, impacting several high tide
  cycles.

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.

* WHAT...Minor inundation 1 to 2 feet above ground level.

* WHERE...Areas along the Pamlico Sound, Trent, Bay and lower
  Neuse Rivers, and adjacent tidal creeks.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Wednesday to 5 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
  isolated road closures expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

* WHAT...For the Beach Hazards Statement, dangerous rip currents
  in the surf zone. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking
  waves of 8 to 20 feet in the surf zone.

* WHERE...The beaches from Duck to Hatteras Island.

* WHEN...For the Beach Hazards Statement, through Wednesday
  evening. For the High Surf Advisory, until midnight EDT Friday
  night.

* IMPACTS...Extreme beach and coastal damage is likely along the
  oceanside, resulting in a significant threat to life and
  property. Large dangerous waves will likely inundate and
  destroy protective dune structures. Severe flooding will
  likely extend inland from the waterfront causing flooding of
  many homes and businesses with some structural damage
  possible. Numerous roads will likely be impassable under
  several feet of water and vehicles will likely be submerged.
  Actions will need to be taken to protect life and property.
  Extremely dangerous swimming and surfing conditions expected,
  as well as the wave action resulting in significant beach
  erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Storm Surge Warning remains in effect
  for the Outer Banks. This is expected to be a prolonged
  duration event, with the potential for portions of NC-12 and
  secondary roads along the Outer Banks, in particular on
  Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands, to be impassable and/or
  inaccessible through the end of the week due to significant
  wave run up.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.

The surf will be extremely dangerous for everyone, and swimming
is absolutely discouraged.
