...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST FRIDAY FOR
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 4500 FEET...

* WHAT...Strong winds and heavy snow expected. Strong winds ease
  this morning, then increase again tonight into Thursday, at 30 to
  40 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph. Snow levels will remain high
  before lowering to 4500 ft later today. Heavy snow expected above
  4500 ft with additional snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches.
  Above 5500 feet, 1 to 3 feet of snow expected.

* WHERE...Above 4500 ft in Siskiyou County. This includes Etna
  Summit on Sawyers Bar Road, Scott Mountain Pass on Highway 3, and
  portions of Highway 97 south of MacDoel that includes Grass Lake
  at Mt Hebron.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
  evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause tree damage. Areas
  of power outages are expected through the event.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected later tonight
  through Thursday night.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Strong winds and heavy snow expected. South winds ease this
  morning, then increase again tonight into Thursday, at 25 to 30
  mph with gusts to 50 mph. Meanwhile, snow levels will lower to
  5000 ft this morning, then locally down to 3500 ft tonight through
  Friday morning. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches
  above 3500 ft. Above 4500 feet, 1 to 3 feet of snow expected.

* WHERE...South Central Siskiyou County, including Mt Shasta City
  and Black Butte Pass, Snowman Summit on highway 89 and Shasta Ski
  Park.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
  evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree
  damage. Areas of power outages are expected through the event.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected later tonight
  through Thursday night.

ABOVE 5500 FT IN MODOC COUNTY...

* WHAT...Strong winds and heavy snow above 5500 ft in Modoc County.
  Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 17 inches. Winds
  gusting as high as 60 mph over high and exposed terrain.

* WHERE...The Warner mountains of Modoc County. This includes Cedar
  Pass on Highway 395.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
  evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected later tonight
  through Thursday night.
