...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM PDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot temperatures of 100 to 110 degrees.

* WHERE...The valleys in central and western Siskiyou County. This
  includes the communities of Weed, Yreka, Montague, Etna, Ft Jones,
  Happy Camp and Somes Bar.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little
  relief from hot daytime temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

Drink plenty of fluids and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

  Williams, Ruch, Rogue River, Gold Hill, White City, Shady Cove,
  Medford, Jacksonville, Talent and Ashland.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat
  illnesses.
