...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM SUNDAY TO 2 AM PDT
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot temperatures of 100-110 degrees with very
  warm overnight temperatures of 65-70 degrees.

* WHERE...The Shasta, Scott and Klamath River Valleys in central and
  western Siskiyou County. This includes the communities of Weed,
  Yreka, Montague, Etna, Ft Jones, Happy Camp and Somes Bar.

* WHEN...From 8 AM Sunday to 2 AM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little
  relief from hot daytime temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

* WHERE...Portions of eastern Curry County, Josephine and Jackson
  Counties. This includes the communities of Agness, Grants Pass,
  Cave Junction, Williams, Ruch, Rogue River, Gold Hill, White City,
  Shady Cove, Medford, Jacksonville, Talent and Ashland.

* WHEN...From 8 AM Sunday to 2 AM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during

* WHEN...From 11 AM Monday to 2 AM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat
  illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief
  from daytime temperatures.

* WHERE...Curry County Coast, all the way to the beaches in
  Brookings and Harbor and just inland as far north as Gold Beach.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Unusually warm to hot temperatures will increase risk
  for heat illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide
  little relief from daytime temperatures.
