Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
336 AM PST Sat Jan 3 2026
.DISCUSSION...A series of low pressure systems will bring unsettled
weather to the area through the weekend. These systems will bring
periods of rain, high elevation snow and strong, gusty winds. Most
precipitation will be beneficial, and will be heaviest along the
southern Oregon coast and also much of southern and western Siskiyou
County, where some minor ponding of water on roadways may occur
as well as rockfall in areas of steep terrain. Snow levels are
above 7000 feet, but these will fall to around 4500 feet over
the weekend. Strongest winds will occur along the coast and in the
Shasta Valley, but also over the East Side.
