Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
345 AM PDT Mon Aug 11 2025

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONES 620, 622 AND 624...

...Moderate to poor RH recovery over upper slopes and ridges
through Tuesday night...

.DISCUSSION...Hot, dry conditions persist through Tuesday. Expect
moderate to poor RH recovery over the upper slopes and ridges
through Tuesday night. Gusty breezes develop Tuesday afternoon and
evening for some west side valleys as well as east of the
Cascades where low humidity may result in critical fire weather
conditions. The heat will break Wednesday through Friday with
temperatures getting back near seasonable levels. East side areas
could still see elevated fire weather concerns Wednesday and
maybe Thursday due to gusty afternoon breezes and near critical
humidity levels. Humidity should increase late in the week into
the weekend.
