Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
440 AM PDT Sat Aug 2 2025

...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected in
the afternoons/evenings through the weekend...

.DISCUSSION...Thunderstorm coverage will be relatively diminished
today compared to recent days, with activity today focused across
western/central Siskiyou County northeastward into Klamath/Lake
Counties. A more defined open trough approaches the region on
Sunday, bringing increased thunderstorm activity to northern
California and east of the Cascades on Sunday as well as enhanced
afternoon breezes and below normal temperatures. A dry, more
stable pattern is expected next week, with thunderstorms dropping
out of the forecast by Monday.
