Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
156 PM PDT Wed Jul 29 2026

...Elevated fire weather concerns are expected on Saturday
afternoon and evening as a dry cold front looks to bring gusty
winds across the area...

.DISCUSSION...Warm and dry conditions continue this week with
breezy to locally gusty afternoon winds. Temperatures will
trend higher Friday, then cool over the weekend. Weak upper
level disturbances will move across the area in southwest
flow through this weekend, resulting in periods of enhanced
winds, but the chances for showers or thunderstorms is very
low. A dry cold front may bring gusty winds to many areas on
Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds ease on Sunday, with
warm and dry conditions possible early next week.
