Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
Issued by National Weather Service Portland OR
155 PM PDT Mon Aug 10 2026

...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Through Wednesday: Hot, Dry,
and Breezy...

...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Late in the Week Due to
a Slight Chance of Thunderstorms...

.DISCUSSION...The area will trend very slightly toward lower
temperatures and higher humidity through Wednesday, but breezy
afternoon winds accompanying hot and dry conditions will continue
elevated fire weather conditions. This includes breezy overnight
northeast winds at the Coast Range, and also one more night of
poor to moderate ridge top humidity recoveries. Afternoon breezes
trend weaker late in the week. It is too early to pinpoint the
focus for activity, but a slight chance of thunderstorms is
expected each afternoon for portions of the area east of the Coast
Range Thursday through the Weekend.
