Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
749 AM PDT Sat Jul 26 2025

...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected today for far
southern and eastern Fire Weather Zones 625 and 285...

.DISCUSSION...The main concern over the forecast period will be
daily thunderstorm chances through at least mid-week, if not
longer. Mainly isolated thunderstorms are anticipated again this
afternoon/evening across northern California from the Shasta
Valley eastward, with some scattered potential for far eastern
FWZs 625/285. The thunderstorm risk persists Sunday and Monday east
of the Cascades. The next trough will maintain the thunderstorm threat
through the week, with the potential for West Side thunderstorms
as well as a nocturnal threat Wednesday night.
