...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Oregon, including the following
  counties, Coos, Curry and Douglas.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 438 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
    1 and 2 inches of rain has already fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    South Fork Coquille River, Foggy Creek, West Fork Cow Creek,
    Grant Creek and Arrastra Fork Mule Creek.
    Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Southeastern Coos, Northeastern Curry
    and Southwestern Douglas Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
