...Flood Potential Outlook for high water caused by snow melt along
the Sprague River in Klamath County.

Several days of warm, sunny weather along with overnight
temperatures remaining above freezing have caused snow melt that is
causing the Sprague River and its tributaries to run high. The
Sprague River is forecast to rise to a crest of 8 feet by Saturday.
This is a forecast so there is a chance that the river could crest a
bit higher or lower depending on conditions. Flood stage for the
Sprague River near Beatty is 8.5 feet.

A flood potential outlook is issued when there is the potential for
flooding along rivers and streams.

The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertain. This product will
be updated as necessary. Watches and warnings may be issued by the
National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
