Collier County through 1100 PM EDT...
At 1028 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm near Copeland, or 12 miles northeast of
Everglades City, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Everglades City, Carnestown, Copeland, Fakahatchee Strand State
Preserve, Jerome, Deep Lake, and Port Of The Island.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
