...South Florida NOAA Weather Radio Transmitters Return to Service...

The National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Miami
conducted a required update to their Advanced Weather Interactive
Processing System (AWIPS) system earlier this week.

During the time of the update, forecast operations were conducted
by NWS Miami staff utilizing our service back-up office in Key
West to minimize any potential interruption to services. The
limited impacts that were expected and have now been restored are:

* All NOAA Weather Radio transmitters maintained by NWS Miami are
back on the air. This includes the following transmitters in
Florida: Miami, West Palm Beach, Naples, Belle Glade, Homestead
  (Princeton), and Hialeah (Spanish-language service).

* Graphical forecast maps and climate text products (CLI, CF6) are
  posting once again.

* Updates to the forecast recording line (305-229-4550) are now
  available.

* Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TMIA/TFLL/TPBI) data are flowing
  again.

Thank you for your patience during this planned and required
outage.
