.Discussion...
High pressure over Florida this weekend and drier than normal air
aloft will limit shower and thunderstorm development. Today is
expected to be mainly dry outside of maybe one or two showers over
eastern Collier County late this afternoon. A few more showers and
thunderstorms may develop Sunday afternoon, but overall coverage
will remain limited.
East to southeast winds around 10 mph and temperatures in the 90s
will lead to generally good dispersion levels this afternoon, except
fair to good around Lake Okeechobee. Higher temperatures on Sunday
may cause dispersion values to improve to very good levels over most
of the area, except remaining generally good near both Atlantic and
Gulf coasts. Minimum relative humidity values are forecast to be
around 40 percent over the central and southern Everglades this
afternoon, and around 45 percent on Sunday. The remainder of the
area will experience humidity values well above critical levels.
Widespread fog is not anticipated.
