...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Florida, including the following
  county, Metro Collier.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 340 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    nearly stationary thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3
    inches of rain have fallen during the last couple of hours.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in
    the warned area with these nearly stationary thunderstorms.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Naples, Golden Gate Estates, Golden Gate, Vineyards, North
    Naples, East Naples, Naples Park, Orangetree and Pelican Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
