...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON
UNTIL 5 PM EDT...

* WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding expected.

* WHERE...Mainland Monroe.

* WHEN...From 1 PM EDT this afternoon through 5 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor coastal flooding is possible during
  this afternoons high tide cycle. This would impact portions of
  the Flamingo Visitors Center. High tide is around 330 PM EDT
  this afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flooded roadways.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County,
  Coastal Miami Dade County.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
