End of Frost and Freeze Headlines for Fall 2024

The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Memphis, TN, has
ended the frost/freeze program for fall 2024. The normal first
freeze dates for the Mid-South range from late October to mid-
November (see table below) and we are now well beyond the average
occurrence. Thus, the locally-defined growing season has come to
an end. NWS Memphis will resume the frost/freeze program in the
spring.
