...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following
  counties, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Mississippi, Poinsett and
  St. Francis, North Mississippi, including the following counties,
  DeSoto and Marshall, and West Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Fayette, Shelby and Tipton.

* WHEN...Until 215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1117 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Jonesboro, Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown,
    Olive Branch, West Memphis, Horn Lake, Hernando, Marion,
    Millington, Wynne, Holly Springs, Trumann, Marked Tree,
    Earle, Harrisburg, Parkin, Tyronza and Meeman Shelby Forest
    State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
