...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFF DAVIS COUNTY
THROUGH 1100 PM CDT...

At 1016 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Fort Davis, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, Davis Mountains State Park, Indian
Lodge, and Fort Davis National Historical Site.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
