.DISCUSSION...

Through the rest of tonight, isolated showers and storms will
continue on and off across Brewster County. Outside of lightning,
the main threats with any storms will be strong winds and heavy
rainfall that will lead to flash flooding of roads, low lying
areas, and normally dry arroyos. With the return of daytime
heating today(Monday), storms will have a slightly better
environment to be strong to severe, but the expectation currently
remains that only a storm or two will be capable of damaging
winds. Small hail may be seen, but large hail is not expected.
Lightning will pose a threat to start wildfires, but fire spread
will be significantly limited in part to rain and wet fuels. Rain
chances decrease to around 10-30% Monday night and decrease
further on Tuesday and beyond as a drier and warmer pattern
emerges.
