Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
148 PM CST Fri Jan 2 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns are low through the period, despite
temperatures rising well above normal. Winds look to be on the
lighter side through the weekend. Min RHs above critical
thresholds, good to excellent overnight recoveries, and ERCs at or
below the 50th percentile further aid in curving fire weather
concerns.
