Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
144 PM CDT Mon Jun 1 2026
.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are low through this week, besides a chance
of dry lightning and gusty and erratic winds with isolated to
scattered storms today. Min RHs generally stay above critical
thresholds and winds remain light. ERCs largely remain near or
below the 50th percentile, and rain chances increase again this
week across the area. Overnight recoveries will be good to
excellent, further limiting fire weather conditions.
