Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
105 PM CDT Sat Jul 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Min RH above critical 15%, light, 20-ft humid upslope southeast
winds less than 20 miles per hour, good to excellent overnight
recovery, and below to near average temperatures with ERCs below
75th percentile and recent wetting rains will result in low fire
weather conditions through the end of next week. Fire starts from
gusty, erratic winds and lightning strikes are still possible,
however vegetation greenery and fuel moisture will limit intensity
and spread of any flames.
