National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1237 PM CDT Tue Jul 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain very low through the forecast
period. Afternoon relative humidity may fall to near 15 percent
for far western areas, but remain well above critical elsewhere.
Overnight recoveries continue to be good to excellent. 20 ft winds
from the south and southeast between 10 to 15 kts are expected.
ERCs continue to remain below the 50th percentile. Thunderstorms
are forecast over the higher elevations most afternoons with
largely dry weather for most other locations.
