Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
141 PM CDT Wed Jul 29 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Despite unseasonably warm temperatures this week, fire weather
concerns remain minimal, mainly due to low ERCs and low-to-
moderate Fire Danger. Fuel moisture will be dry in isolated
locations, but will otherwise be normal to above normal. Relative
humidity will generally remain near to above critical thresholds.
Recovery overnight will be moderate to excellent.
