Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
140 AM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

While overall fire weather conditions remain minimal, continued
dry and hot conditions will increase the potential for IA. Fuels
continue to dry each day without any substantial rainfall in the
last 14 days for most locations east of the Pecos River. Light
winds for the week ahead should help mitigate concerns somewhat.
Low chances for precipitation return to the area Tuesday night
and Wednesday, but amounts look very light.
