Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
245 PM CST Mon Dec 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns generally remain minimal into next week.
Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible at times,
especially Tuesday through Thursday, due to increased 20-ft winds
coincident with increased ERCs. Recovery overnight will be poor
in parts of the Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains, but moderate to
excellent elsewhere. Recovery Tuesday night will be poor in much
of the area west of the Pecos, but moderate to excellent
elsewhere. Relative humidity will bottom out at 10-29% Tuesday
afternoon, and 13-36% Wednesday.
