Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
208 PM CDT Fri Sep 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Little has changed since the last forecast package. Fire weather
concerns remain low over the next several days. Isolated to
scattered showers and storms are possible through the coming
weekend. Min RHs remain well above critical levels with ERCs across
most of West Texas remain at or below the 50th percentile. Winds
outside of any convection will remain low with 20ft winds generally
staying at or below 10kts. Drier conditions return the middle of
next week, but should not have a significant effect on fuel
moisture.
