Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
115 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain minimal as minimum RH values remain
above critical thresholds, winds remain light, and ERCs remain
below the 75th percentile. Overnight RH recovery will generally
remain good. Rain chances will increase across the region Tuesday
through the end of the week providing for increased fuel and soil
moisture. In addition, temperatures decrease next weekend with
highs in the 80s.
