Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1251 PM CDT Sun Aug 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Rain chances diminish after today as hotter and drier conditions
take hold from Monday onward. Well above normal temperatures will
aid in finer fuels curing. However, Min RHs are generally forecast
to stay just above critical levels for the next several days and
overnight recoveries will be fair to good. Additionally, 20ft winds
remain light, with the exception of occasionally gusty and erratic
winds associated with thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
Overall, fire weather concerns remain low through the next several
days.
